Lister Clinic (Pty) Ltd
Lister Clinic South Africa is a medical practice management company that operates affordable medical and dental centres in the Greater Johannesburg communities.
Vision
Our vision is to establish a network of affordable medical and dental centres that provide quality health care in a convenient, modern and friendly environment.
Multidisciplinary Professionals
Our multidisciplinary medical professionals include general practitioners; nurse practitioners, dentists, diagnostic radiologists, sonographers, clinical technologists, specialists, clinical psychologists and other allied professionals.
Registered Doctors and Clinicians
Our doctors and clinicians are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) and Medical Malpractice and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Independent Practices
The above professionals operate independent practices that are managed by Lister Clinic (Pty) Ltd. Lister Clinic provides facilities, equipment, infrastructure, staffing and practice management to the various Practices, of which Practices are organised as single practitioner practices, partnerships of medical practitioners and also as personal liability companies.
Growth
We currently operate two successful branches at 3rd and 4th floors, Lister Medical Centre in Johannesburg and at Suite 1, RH Rand Clinic Hospital, Hillbrow.

Our main branch is at Lister Medical Centre in Johannesburg. The iconic medical centre is also commonly known as Lister Building, Lister House or Lister Polyclinic.

Longest Serving Doctors and Staff (Amadlozi)
Dr. SW Maphisa and MST Nxumalo met in 1998 when they were both junior doctors at Tembisa hospital. Vuyelwa Botya was a nurse in the casualty department. They are the longest serving members at Dr. Maphisa & Partners Inc. The practice was founded in 2002 and Dr. Nxumalo and Vuyelwa joined in 2003.
Practices Managed by Lister Clinic (Pty) Ltd
The first three practices to be managed by Lister Clinic (Pty) Ltd were Dr. Maphisa & Partners Inc. (General Practitioners), Dr. JI Mistry Inc. (Specialist Diagnostic Radiologists), and Dr. CNC Dubazane Inc. (Dental Practitioners).

We now manage many multidisciplinary practices including nurse practitioners, sonographers, clinical technologists, specialists, clinical psychologists and other allied professionals.
Medical Students Preceptorship
Our Medical Student Preceptorship Programme has mentored about 300 medical students mainly from Wits University Family Medicine Department since 2008.
The student mentorship programme provides a firm grounding for our future general practitioners, family physicians and specialists.
Funders and Partners
We continue to participate in Private Public Partnerships Programmes (PPP), collaborations and linkages to care. Under these Partnerships, we work closely with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and the Department of Health (DoH) to deliver Public Health Programmes to our communities.

Clinical Training Facility
Our facility at Lister Clinic Johannesburg has been providing practical training for doctors, clinical associates and nurses since 2012.

Our large active client base of more than 300, 000 patients, combined with our robust Electronic Health Record System or EHR makes Dr. Maphisa & Partners Inc. (Lister Clinic) an ideal facility to conduct clinical trials.
CircumQ Manufacture Trials
The first clinical trials for the CircumQ circumcision device “Manufacture’s Trials”, in 2015, were conducted at Dr. Maphisa & Partners Inc. (Lister Clinic).
